Audit Readiness Review

Starting at $497

Most small businesses don't think about their records until something forces the issue — an IRS notice, a legal dispute, an insurance claim, or a routine audit that suddenly doesn't feel routine. By then, the gaps in your records aren't just inconvenient. They're expensive.

An Audit Readiness Review is a comprehensive, one-time engagement designed to give you a clear, honest picture of where your records stand before anyone else comes looking. We start with a thorough 90-minute consultation where we walk through every area of your business documentation — tax and financial records, employment files, contracts, corporate documents, licenses, insurance, and correspondence. No area is overlooked.

From there, we produce a written audit report detailing exactly what you have, what's missing, what's at risk, and what needs to change. You receive a prioritized action list so you know precisely where to focus first, what can wait, and what needs immediate attention.

What sets this review apart is the experience behind it. Having worked in credit union compliance, government records management, and a county courthouse environment, we know what auditors, attorneys, and regulators actually look for — and we review your records through that same lens.

Whether you're preparing for a scheduled audit, recovering from a period of rapid growth that left your records behind, or simply want the peace of mind of knowing your business is protected, an Audit Readiness Review gives you the clarity and confidence to move forward.

Every Audit Readiness Review includes a complimentary follow-up call to answer questions about your report and discuss next steps.

Records Compliance Retainer

Starting at $350/month

Getting your records in order is one thing. Keeping them that way is another. Business moves fast — employees come and go, contracts pile up, regulations shift, and records maintenance is almost always the first thing that falls through the cracks when things get busy. That's where most compliance problems are born.

Our monthly Records Compliance Retainer is an ongoing partnership designed to keep your business consistently audit-ready, month after month, without adding another task to your already full plate. Think of it as a quiet, reliable system running in the background — one that only becomes visible when you really need it.

Each month your retainer includes a dedicated 30-minute check-in call to review any changes in your business that affect your records, a thorough review and update of your compliance log, written responses to any records or compliance questions that come up during the month, and a monthly status report summarizing where things stand and flagging anything that needs your attention.

Over time your retainer also includes periodic updates as IRS guidelines, state regulations, or industry-specific requirements change — so you're never caught operating on outdated information.

Retainer clients also receive priority scheduling for any additional services, discounted rates on research projects, and first access to new resources and tools as we develop them.

This service is ideal for small businesses that have completed an Audit Readiness Review and want to maintain that standard going forward, as well as businesses that are growing quickly and need a compliance partner who can keep pace.

Retainer pricing is customized based on business size, industry, and scope of ongoing needs. Book a free discovery call to discuss what level of support makes sense for you.

Research Consulting

Starting at $65/hour

Some of the most important records in the world aren't sitting in a tidy folder. They're buried in archives, scattered across agencies, locked in outdated filing systems, or hiding in plain sight in places most people wouldn't think to look. Finding them takes more than a Google search. It takes someone who understands how records are created, stored, organized, and retrieved across legal, financial, and government systems.

That's exactly the background we bring to every research engagement.

Our Research & Records Consulting service is available to a wide range of clients with a wide range of needs. Genealogists and family historians hire us to trace lineages, locate vital records, verify identities, and fill in the gaps that standard databases leave behind. Attorneys and legal professionals retain us to locate case records, track down documentation relevant to active matters, and research historical legal proceedings. Historians, academics, and authors engage us to verify sources, locate primary documents, and build accurate, well-supported narratives. Small business owners occasionally need research support too — tracking down older contracts, locating regulatory filings, or verifying the history of a property or entity.

No two research projects are exactly alike, which is why we approach every engagement with a customized research plan outlining the scope, methodology, sources to be consulted, and a realistic timeline for delivery. You receive a detailed findings report at the conclusion of every project documenting what was found, where it was found, and the trail of verification behind it.

Our experience working inside a state prison records department, a county courthouse, and a credit union compliance environment gives us a practical understanding of how institutional records work that most researchers simply don't have. We know where records live, how they're indexed, what they're called, and how to request them — and that knowledge saves our clients significant time and money on every project.

Research projects are available on an hourly basis or as flat-fee packages depending on scope. A free 20-minute discovery call is the best place to start — bring your project, your questions, and your timeline, and we'll tell you exactly what's possible.

Not sure which service is right for your situation? Book a free 20-minute discovery call and we'll point you in the right direction — no pressure, no obligation, just clarity.
